System > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts Assign 'Run a Terminal' a shortcut, say, Ctrl+Alt+T or whatever you like. Close the keyborad shortcuts window. Just press Ctrl+alt+del to get task manager , then go to shutdown menu , then while holding ctrl , select turnoff and keep holding ctrl for few seconds. Ur PC will instantly turnoff. Thank God ,I dont use Vista, hehe.
